Even as major, big budget titles, the Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to bugs and glitches, especially within the online multiplayer components. Over the years, players have seen all sorts of odd behaviors, ranging from simple visual glitches to bigger, game breaking problems like an issue with a particular Call of Duty: Vanguard character skin making them invisible. While Call of Duty: Vanguard remains popular with players, it has seen plenty of issues over the past few months.

As a live service title, Call of Duty: Vanguard is constantly changing and evolving with the intention of keeping the game feeling fresh for players. New seasons bring updated content in the form of character skins, such as the latest Attack on Titan collaboration, weapons, maps, and more and while that's a positive thing for keeping players invested, sometimes bugs can fly under the radar. While a recent one allows players to access perks from past Call of Duty games, a more harmful one has surfaced on the map once known as Dome.

As one of the smallest maps in Call of Duty: Vanguard, the Modern Warfare 3 inspired Dome typically leads to tense and chaotic matches. Recently however, the map has gotten even more dangerous as players have seemingly discovered a way to get under the map to cause true chaos. As seen on the Call of Duty: Vanguard subReddit, a user known as PainInfinite posted a clip of getting taken out by a seemingly unknown enemy. However, the kill cam reveals the exploit in full.

The player is shown well below the confines of the map with unlimited access to all enemy players, easily and safely taking them out. Unfortunately, this appears to be a one-way exploit, meaning there's no way to return fire at the person out of bounds. It's also unclear if this was simply a one time glitch or if the community has found a way to utilize this exploit on Dome each time. Either way, it may prove to be a difficult exploit for Sledgehammer to fix inside Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Map exploits such as this one are nothing new for Vanguard or the Call of Duty franchise in general. Just weeks after the game launched, players discovered multiple locations on various maps like Demyansk and Tuscan to essentially go invisible from the enemy team. The reimagined World at War map Sub Pens also allowed players to escape the play space above the ceiling, letting players essentially farm kills. However, players discovered even more locations in Sub Pens that allowed players to go out of bounds to gain easy kills while likely frustrating the enemy team.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
