Call of Duty: Vanguard released on November 5 and like many new multiplayer games, it has some bugs that need to be ironed out before the game reaches a fully polished experience. The most recent bug that Call of Duty: Vanguard players have been experiencing now relates to the game's killstreak mechanic.

Sledgehammer Games, the developer of the game, has been hard at work trying to fix issues that have been frustrating Call of Duty: Vanguard players. One of these issues is weapon bloom which is a mechanic that causes bullets to not land exactly where players point their crosshairs. Thankfully, Sledgehammer Games acknowledged the issue as it was causing players a lot of frustration and decided to rework and patch the mechanic.

Currently, a killstreak glitch is hampering Call of Duty: Vanguard and causing players to receive multiple killstreaks without getting the required amount of kills. The glitch comes into play when users have the Dead Drop Field Upgrade equipped as it saves your killstreak progress after you die. If players activate this perk while one kill away from their top killstreak they can then use their top killstreak and after they die they will return to being one kill away from their top killstreak. This allows players to abuse this glitch to give them infinite killstreaks which can greatly hamper gameplay.

Luckily many of the other issues players are having with Call of Duty: Vanguard are not game-breaking and have merely been teething problems on the part of the developer. When the MP40 gun in Call of Duty: Vanguard is equipped with certain attachments it becomes ridiculously overpowered which makes for a rather unpleasant experience for players on the receiving end of it.

Balancing weapons in a multiplayer FPS game is generally never easy especially considering the sheer number available to players in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Fortunately, Sledgehammer Games has been hard at work to correct these issues when players have brought them to its attention. A November 18 patch for Call of Duty: Vanguard nerfed shotguns as players viewed them to be far too overpowered.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is far from perfect in its current state, however, it is difficult for players to find fault with Sledgehammer Games and Activision. This is because both companies have been hard at work trying to make Call of Duty: Vanguard an enjoyable experience through adding content and fixing issues for players by patching and reworking multiple issues with the game ever since its launch.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
