Call of Duty: Vanguard has been out for over a month now, giving Call of Duty fans the chance to check out its campaign, mulitplayer, and zombies. While Call of Duty: Vanguard reviews have been mixed, there seems to be a general consensus that the game's multiplayer is high quality, having more in common with the well-received Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from 2019 than last year's more divisive Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

However, it's no secret that Call of Duty: Vanguard sales are down compared to most Call of Duty games, so it seems many aren't sold on the new game. Luckily, those curious about Call of Duty: Vanguard and what its multiplayer has to offer will soon be able to find out without paying a dime. Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty: Vanguard free multiplayer weekend will be kicking off soon, giving players access to select modes.

There will be three playlists for Call of Duty: Vanguard players to check out during the free weekend. The first is called the Free Kills Playlist, which combines Domination, Hardpoint, and Team Deathmatch on smaller maps like Das Haus, Eagle's Next, Hotel Royal, Numa Numa, Radar, and fan favorite Shipment. The second playlist will be Shipmas 24/7, giving Call of Duty: Vanguard players access to a Christmas-themed version of Shipment 24/7 while the event is active.

And finally, those participating in the Call of Duty: Vanguard free weekend will also have the chance to check out Champion Hill. Champion Hill is the Call of Duty: Vanguard version of Gunfight, where players compete in a tournament in exchange for special rewards. The version of Call of Duty: Vanguard Champion Hill that will be in the game during the free multiplayer weekend will be Trios-based, so three people per team.

It sounds like this latest Call of Duty: Vanguard free multiplayer weekend will give players a good taste of what they can expect from the final product. In the meantime, there will almost certainly be more free multiplayer weekends for Call of Duty: Vanguard in the months ahead, so anyone that misses out on this one should have more opportunities to check it out in future.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
