Just like any other entry in the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard allows players to pick up kills in tremendous fashion. However, one Call of Duty: Vanguard player has used two random items to pull off a kill unlike any other.

The first item is a Care Package, and as many know, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Care Packages have some unique physics attached. Bouncing once they hit the ground, they are often in danger of falling off the map and will crush anything in their path. However, fans have also noticed they can be knocked out of the sky if hit with a piece of equipment. Redditor JonnyNwl used this to their advantage, combining the movable Care Package with a Throwing Knife to pull off an awesome trick shot.

Call of Duty players crushing someone with a Care Package is nothing new, as some will even toss their crates directly into enemy spawns in hopes of pulling off one of these hilarious kills. However, players have never been able to aim their care packages before, as this mechanic is exclusive to Call of Duty: Vanguard. As shown in the clip, the Redditor tosses their Throwing Knife at the Care Package as soon as it is dropped from the helicopter.

With the Care Package hit, it propels forward and crushes a Call of Duty: Vanguard player far below. Not only has the post received 2,000 upvotes, but all the comments are full of genuine praise for JonnyNwl, as gamers are shocked that they were able to pull such a feat off. Hitting the Care Package with a Throwing Knife would have required a fair amount of skill, after all, and then it comes entirely down to luck as the crate rolls toward the enemy spawn.

JonnyNwl was likely helped and hurt by their map of choice, as they were playing on Das Haus in the clip. One of the smaller maps in Call of Duty: Vanguard, players are likely to get into a gunfight every time they turn the corner. While this makes it easier for the Care Package to land on someone, especially in lobbies with more hectic Combat Pacing, it also made it more likely for the Redditor to be shot while pulling off the stunt. However, despite spawns constantly flipping and all the wooden surfaces able to be shot through with ease, they were successful.

While Call of Duty: Vanguard’s play of the game system may currently be broken, players are still using Reddit and Twitter to show their best plays. While there have been many impressive kills and streaks shared online thus far, this one is tough to top due to how tough it would be to replicate.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
