Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been awaiting the addition of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare operator Soap for over a year. In a recent update, the Soap Operator Bundle was made available, but fan reception was surprisingly lackluster. The Call of Duty: Warzone community is not happy with the bundle despite the operator being a relatively popular character of the franchise.

Soap is a "mohawked Scotsman" who appears in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise. Despite being dead in the original canon story, fans can buy the character bundle and deploy into Verdansk dressed as the popular character. As with other operator bundles, purchasing the Soap bundle unlocks the operator, some skins, and a variety of themed blueprints and cosmetics.

Fans who purchase the Soap Operator bundle were disappointed as the character model does not match their memories of the favored character. The core complaint has to do with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Operator's face. As players look closely at the model, they have found that he is not sharing any identifiable characteristics with the iconic character other than his Mohawk. From "Discount Soap" to "Soap: Uncanny Valley Edition," the character is being immediately discredited and shamed by the Call of Duty: Warzone community on Reddit.

While the bundle appears to be a fairly standard offer, Redditors in the comments suggest that fans "save your money" as the bundle is "not worth it." This opinion comes from a mix of nostalgic disappointment mixed with stress from the rampant cheating and current lawsuit that Activision is dealing with. While this bundle does not stand out as a "special" offer, the community is pushing back harder than previously seen releases.

One player is seen in the comments referring to the bundle as "detergent," stating that they "know what he looks like, and this ain't it." To further their point, the voice actor is also different, as Kevin McKidd did not renew his contract with the company for this character. Many players were reminded of when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War received the operator Price and how the entire bundle felt like a rushed job.

Frustrations among Call of Duty: Warzone fans are high as the continued threat of cheaters plagues the game's fanbase. Fans in the comments share a common opinion that even if the bundle was worth its money to them, it is not likely they will have time to enjoy it. Call of Duty: Warzone hackers continue to surge in the game despite Activision's anti-cheat efforts.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
