Shortly after all Call of Duty social media went dark, developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision confirmed the official reveal date and time for the forthcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (aka Call of Duty 2019). It will take place on Thursday, May 30 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM PT and likely help clarify many of the things currently unknown about the title.

Unfortunately, this teaser (seen below) does little more than confirm the reveal date and time, but there is the voice of a woman saying, "I got a problem. It can be anywhere..." It's unclear if this reveal will be story-focused or multiplayer focused, but given the voice over, the former seems more likely. The game is all but officially confirmed to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and a soft reboot of the franchise, but what the latter exactly means remains to be seen.

However, whatever is not showcased at the worldwide reveal will likely appear at E3 2019, meaning fans could reasonably expect to see both story and multiplayer over the next few weeks. The story is reportedly inspired by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's "No Russian" level, which suggests a darker tone and approach to storytelling.

If so, and assuming that the voice over does suggest a story reveal, then a glimpse at these No Russian-inspired moments may very well come on Thursday. If this doesn't prove to be the case, it has also been rumored that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign is a remake of Modern Warfare 2, and many fans would likely expect some confirmation as far as that is concerned with a story reveal.

More on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be revealed tomorrow on May 30, but the major release later this fall isn't the only Call of Duty project in the works. A Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale project is also set to launch later this year, and details concerning it and Call of Duty: Mobile's six different classes have recently been made available as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is in development for unspecified platforms.
