While the current Call of Duty: Warzone meta is defined by more long-range weaponry, NICKMERCS believes that a specific SMG could soon join the ranks of the best guns in the game. According to the Call of Duty: Warzone loadout expert, the Bullfrog SMG is worth giving a try.

NICKMERCS recent look at the gun comes due to a recent Call of Duty: Warzone patch that saw the weapon tweaked in a few ways. While it received one nerf, as its maximum damage output was dropped from 34 to 32, the buffs the gun received have more than made up for it. In exchange for this damage nerf, the gun was given significantly more range, a crucial factor to any weapon’s success in a battle royale title. It has also become faster to use, with increased sprint out speed and movement speed that is more fitting of a small SMG.

While NICKMERCS does think that some of the changes to the Bullfrog were “a little bit weird,” he also recognizes that the gun is in a better position overall. According to the partial owner of FaZe, it could even become one of the “main guns” players use going forward. Citing an impressive time-to-kill and solid movement speed, the streamer is confident that the gun will only grow more prevalent in the future. He also tells players to make sure aim assist is on, as the feature pairs well with the Bullfrog’s capabilities.

As always, NICKMERCS details a loadout for the weapon he is focusing on, with many of the go-to attachments in the game finding themselves on the weapon. As is usually the case, the GRU Suppressor takes up the muzzle slot, providing some damage and keeping gamers off enemy radars. The 7.4” Task Force is also used on the gun, with the further boost to the gun’s range allowing it to compete with an Assault Rifle or Tactical Rifle. Intriguingly, NICKMERCS does not use an optic for the gun, likely because it already has solid iron sights.

The KGB Skeletal Stock is used to make movement with the weapon even easier, while the Serpent Wrap rear grip is attached to improve accuracy. For ammunition, NICKMERCS throws on 65 Rnd magazines. While the gun already has a large clip, it never hurts to have more rounds to fire in an enemy team’s direction. While there may be better options, such as NICKMERCS’ version of the Krig 6 or the reliable M16, the Bullfrog is quickly becoming one of the more formidable SMGs.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 7.4" Task Force
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
  • Ammunition: 65 Rnd
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

With Call of Duty: Warzone’s TTK set to be adjusted a bit further in future updates, the Bullfrog could only become more dangerous with time. In its current form, though, the fierce gun is worth trying out at the very least.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
