Call of Duty: Modern Warfare receives new cosmetic items in the shop on a regular basis. And considering the sheer amount of cash that Activision makes from microtransactions, that's certainly no surprise. The next update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, expected to release later today on June 16, will be adding a couple of new bundles that fans of the popular first-person shooter can purchase from the store.

First up is the Wendigo Operator bundle, which will add the Taiga skin for Krueger, along with three legendary weapons for players to add to their collection: the Psychosis assault rifle, Evil Manifest SMG, and Crevasse melee blueprint that equips players with an icepick weapon. Secondly, there's the Notice Me III bundle, which features that Dream Dasher blueprint, Chibi Trooper weapon charm, and Cute Cadet sticker.

Pricing information for these latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare cosmetic bundles are unavailable at this time. However, it should be noted that the content in these bundles will be usable in the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale as well, so at least those that buy these bundles can utilize them regardless of which mode they prefer.

It seems as though these latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare cosmetic bundles will avoid some of the controversies that have plagued past bundles. The Modern Warfare Tracer packs, that give players some colorful bullets, have actually been accused of giving those that use them an unfair advantage, adding a potential pay-to-win element to the game in the process.

The argument against the colorful Tracer rounds in Modern Warfare is that they can obscure players' vision to a greater degree than what happens with regular rounds. One solution offered by fans would be so that the color effects from the Tracer rounds only appear client-side, but no change like that has been implemented at the time of this writing.

In any case, it seems as though both the Wendigo Operator bundle and the Notice Me III bundle will avoid any kind of controversies, but fans won't know for sure until they're actually added to the game. They should become available alongside the planned Modern Warfare June 16 update, which is expected to add One in the Chamber to the mix as well.
