Update 5/25: It seems many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone players are now able to get in matches, though some are still reporting issues.

Original story follows.

Last week, the Call of Duty servers went down, causing issues for both Modern Warfare and Warzone players. Now it appears as though the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone server issues have resumed, with thousands of players reporting infinite queue times when trying to get into a match.

At the time of this writing, over 6,000 Call of Duty players have reported server connectivity issues for both Modern Warfare and Warzone on the DownDetector website. The Call of Duty server problems appear to have started within the last hour, and it's unclear exactly when the issues will be fixed. The official Activision Support Twitter page has yet to even acknowledge that Call of Duty is down, so there's no ETA on a fix.

In the meantime, it remains to be seen exactly what caused the Call of Duty servers to go down. It is Memorial Day in the United States, so it's possible that there are even more people playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer and the Warzone battle royale than usual. But even though it's likely that there's an unusually high number of people playing right now, it's unclear if that's really what's causing the issues.

Hopefully a fix comes sooner rather than later. We will update this article as soon as Infinity Ward or Activision confirms that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone servers are back up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
