Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the free-to-play Warzone battle royale were set to start Season 4 on June 3, complete with new maps, modes, and Captain Price as a playable character. However, Activision and Infinity Ward decided to delay the Modern Warfare Season 4 release date indefinitely in the aftermath of George Floyd's death and the Black Lives Matter protests that are occurring all over the world. No new Modern Warfare or Warzone Season 4 release date has been announced yet in an official capacity, but a dataminer may have leaked it.

Modern Warfare dataminer has discovered files that indicate the Modern Warfare Season 4 release date is now Wednesday, June 10 at 6am UTC, which translates to 11pm PT/2am ET. Again, nothing official has been announced by Activision or Infinity Ward, so fans should take this news with a grain of salt. It's entirely possible that the companies plan on starting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 on June 10, but plans could still change.

After all, there are events taking place after June 10 that have already been delayed in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. For example, the EA Play event was supposed to take place on June 11, but it has since been pushed back to June 18. Considering this, it's possible that fans may have to wait for some date after June 10 before they will have the chance to play Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4.

So far, Infinity Ward has shown a great deal of support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and so it wouldn't be surprising to see the studio delay the Modern Warfare Season 4 release date again if the protests are still happening come next week. Besides delaying the start of Season 4, Infinity Ward has also made an effort to crack down on racist usernames in its games, and has also added a Black Lives Matter message to the start of the game.

In the meantime, it remains to be seen exactly what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 will consist of. Activision and Infinity Ward have kept it largely secret, and there haven't been nearly as many leaks as usual. However, it does seem as though fans can count on the Vector SMG and Galil to be in Modern Warfare Season 4, though they may have different names.

If the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 release date is truly June 10 as leaked, then fans can expect more information on the new content early next week.
