Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 is live, adding a slew of new content for fans of the game to check out. This includes a brand new Battle Pass with 100 tiers worth of rewards, and as usual, this new Battle Pass also includes a special Finishing Move that players can unlock if they progress far enough. This time around, the Finishing Move comes in the form of a pet vampire bat named Edward.

It's possible that Edward the bat is named after "Edward" of Twilight fame, but regardless, it's definitely vicious. Similar to the crow Finishing Move, the vampire bat will attack players' faces, knocking them to the ground and killing them in an animated spectacle. As usual, triggering the Finishing Move is accomplished by simply holding in the melee button when behind an unsuspecting enemy.

Those that want to use the Edward vampire bat Finishing Move in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have to unlock it first, though. In order to unlock the Modern Warfare bat, players will need to purchase the Season 6 Battle Pass, and then reach tier 18. While it may take a few days for some players to hit tier 18, at least Edward isn't one of the last rewards in the Modern Warfare Season 6 Battle Pass, and so players should be able to unlock him without too much effort.

Edward the bat's inclusion in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare isn't the only horror-themed new addition to the game. It's been confirmed that Modern Warfare is getting Halloween skins, which will be added to the game throughout Season 6. Anyone that wants to collect these special Halloween-themed Season 6 skins will want to check the in-game store regularly so they don't miss their chance.

With Black Ops Cold War set to launch in November, some may be wondering why they would bother spending microtransactions on these skins. While they won't be usable in the standard Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, Warzone players can continue using them to their hearts' desire. This way fans can ensure that they get their money's worth if they decide to purchase any of the special Halloween skins coming to Modern Warfare as part of Season 6.

Next month, Modern Warfare and Warzone fans can expect the Halloween content to ramp up significantly, as a special horror event is happening on October 20. What exactly this will entail remains to be seen, but it will supposedly feature a limited-time mode for Warzone as well as some exclusive rewards. By that time, most players should be well beyond tier 18 in the Battle Pass, and should be able to bring Edward the bat with them on their journeys.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
