On November 22, Infinity Ward released one of the biggest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates to date mainly aimed to fix lingering issues with the popular first-person shooter as well as add Gun Game. Unfortunately, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update 1.09 also broke some things in the game, and so Infinity Ward has released a new patch to fix those problems, as well as address some other concerns.

The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update makes a change to Gun Game by allowing up to four player parties. When it was first introduced, Gun Game was restricted so that players couldn't participate in a party, essentially meaning that they couldn't play with their friends. This way there may be some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gun Game players who abuse the system and use their friends to boost, but at least now players won't be forced to play alone.

With the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, Infinity Ward has also moved Free for All to the Filter menu and turned spawn cameras off for both Headquarters and Hardpoint. The studio has also made a number of fixes to the game, adjusting the difficulty of the Special Operations co-op mode as well as fixing one of the biggest problems that were introduced in the November 22 update.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update 1.09 caused a strange issue where laser sights were severely misaligned for the P90 and MP5. Infinity Ward has fixed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare laser sight glitch with this new patch, so fans of those weapons should be able to use them without worrying. Infinity Ward also fixed an issue with the E.O.D. perk that wouldn't let players hack claymores when playing in Free for All, as well as a bug that caused the thermal optic scope on the PP19 Bizon to appear white when aiming down the sights.

Moving forward, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans can expect even more changes to come to the game. Some of these will be a little more exciting than just bug fixes, especially if the leaked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DLC maps are any indication of what kind of new content is on the way for fans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
