Call of Duty: Modern Warfare just released its big November update, which made sweeping bug fixes, as well as added new playlists for multiplayer and new Spec Ops missions for the co-op mode. However, the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update has been met with some backlash from fans, as some are growing frustrated by Infinity Ward not addressing some common concerns about the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans are upset that Infinity Ward isn't addressing some common criticisms aimed at the game, like its Skill Based Matchmaking, spawn issues, the lack of death figures on scoreboards, and more. Others are wanting Infinity Ward to add some fan requested features like map voting and keeping lobbies together, as seen in past Call of Duty games, but it's unclear if these things will be added in future updates.

Another common complaint that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans have is that they feel the M4 is overpowered. Infinity Ward has been quick to address other overpowered weapons in the game, most famously the 725 shotgun, but for some reason the studio has been reluctant to nerf the M4 to a degree that will satisfy fans. Of course, nerfing the M4 could upset other fans who like the gun, so Infinity Ward will likely upset some people no matter what it does.

Balance changes will always have their supporters and their detractors, but what really seems to be upsetting fans is an apparent lack of communication between Infinity Ward and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community. A pair of Reddit posts with thousands of upvotes apiece both express the idea that Infinity Ward has stopped communicating and responding directly to fan concerns. Some fans feel that Infinity Ward was more willing to engage with them prior to and around launch.

In the meantime, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update appears to have broken some things in the game like laser sights for certain weapons, weapon XP progression for some players, and more. Whether or not Infinity Ward just releases a new patch to fix those issues or releases a statement on the matter remains to be seen.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
