The Predator Missile is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare staple when it comes to killstreak kill cams. Although they can be an unwieldy weapon, talented Modern Warfare fans have found efficient ways to use the remote-controlled missile.

When players hunker down in the center of maps like Rust, it may become difficult to root them out. This challenge only becomes amplified in elimination-based rounds, where teammates may not be around to cover a player's flank. With a little grinding, players like Reddit user elijahbeck can solve this problem with a well-placed missile strike.

In a clip uploaded to r/modernwarfare yesterday, elijahbeck is playing a team-based match on Rust. With all the points taken, they fire at the enemy's fortified position in the center of the map, and then they take down another player who was attempting to flank them. With the playing field balanced between two teams, the player pulls out their tablet and deploys a Predator Missile. They direct the missile in a wide arch before crashing it directly into the middle fortified position, killing the last enemy.

The Predator Missile, or Cruise Missile in Modern Warfare, is designed as a remote bunker buster with high explosive yields. Players can use the directional capabilities of the missile to navigate into a building and eliminate holed up squads that are camping strategic points.

Many players who use the Predator Missile deploy it for some extra kills, with many clips online showing the missile quickly descending upon an unsuspecting target. For those who can maneuver the missile in tight situations, the device can become a key part of any killstreak selection, as it offers a strategic chance for immediate elimination.

One popular strategy is to take a sharp turn and circle the outer region of the map. Although the missile does come with a pre-built timer and distance, this targeting circle can give users a chance to navigate their surroundings and take a different approach to their intended target.

Although elijahbeck shows how skilled some aiming can be, many fans believe improvement is warranted across the board. Turns could be sharper, acceleration faster, and any other minor adjustment to try and reduce the response time of the enemy players. After all, if a Predator Missile is traveling too slow, it could be shot out of the sky by any skilled player.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
