November is a big month for Call of Duty fans, as next Friday will see the highly-anticipated launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While Call of Duty fans wait for the Black Ops Cold War launch, they can spend some time with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Warzone battle royale, both of which received a new update today that changed up the available playlists.

In regards to standard Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer, the big news is that Shipment 24/7 is back. Shipment is easily one of the most popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps, and it's always well-received by fans whenever Shipment 24/7 makes its long-awaited return to the game. Those looking for a similar experience on a slightly bigger map may also want to check out the Shoot House 24/7 playlist that's available now as well.

Infinity Ward has also added a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare playlist called "What Objective?" that's made up of HQ Firefight, HC Hills and Kills, and Domination Deathmatch. Onslaughter and Gunfright, two Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer playlists that were added as part of the game's Halloween event, have been removed from the lineup for now.

Call of Duty: Warzone has also had its playlists changed up as part of the latest update. With The Haunting of Verdansk event now over, Call of Duty: Warzone players will find that Blood Money Quads and Warzone Rumble are now available. Blood Money Quads is essentially a faster-paced version of Warzone's Plunder game mode, whereas Warzone Rumble pits two teams of 50 players each against each other on the battle royale map.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launching next week, it remains to be seen how frequent the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates will be moving forward. It's possible that Infinity Ward will continue updating the game on a weekly basis, but it's also possible that it will focus its attention on its next Call of Duty release instead. But while the standard Modern Warfare multiplayer may soon be left by the wayside, it doesn't mean that Warzone support is ending.

On the contrary, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be linked with Warzone beginning in December, at which point fans can expect all of Black Ops Cold War's guns to be added to Warzone. And considering how popular the BR is, it's likely that support for Warzone will continue for years to come, even when next year's Call of Duty game hits the market.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
