Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is kicking off on September 29 and features the arrival of two new operators – Farah and Nikolai.

A new cinematic trailer promoting Season 6reintroduces Nikolai, a series veteran who played a prominent role in Modern Warfare as Captain Price’s fixer, and Farah, a resistance fighter who was a playable protagonist in Modern Warfare’s main story. According to an Activision press release, Nikolai and Farah are joining the fight in Verdansk, Season 6’s main setting, to aid Captain Price in his struggle against antagonist Zakhaev.

The trailer shows the pair stealthily take down a group of Zakhaev’s soldiers in a dimly lit metro station that is reminiscent of last month’s Warzone leak. Nikolai silently kills his enemies with a trusty throwing knife, while Farah sets up a fiery trap for one of Zakhaev’s henchmen. The way the duo hunts down their enemies in the trailer may hint at how they will play as Operators in the upcoming season.

Farah is the founder and commander of Call of Duty’s fictional Urzikstani Liberation Force. After a daring escape from a forced labor camp where she was imprisoned as a teenager, Farah made a name for herself as an exceptional soldier and passionate defender of her people. After Modern Warfare’s campaign, Farah joined Chimera of the Allegiance.

She will be instantly unlockable at Tier 0 of the Season 6 Battle Pass. Players can unlock two additional skins in addition to her base skins by completing her operator missions. Fans have wanted Farah as a playable Operator in online modes for a while now, so her prominent role in Season 6 is sure to make players happy.

Nikolai is a longtime friend of Captain Price and the leader of the Chimera. In Modern Warfare’s campaign, he helped Captain Price capture Jamal “The Butcher” Rahar and provided his longtime friend with arms and munitions. Nikolai is described as a passionate Russian patriot with a deep love for weaponry. Fans can unlock him at Tier 100 of the Season 6 Battle Pass, as well as two additional skins by completing operator missions.

Season 6 will likely be Modern Warfare’s last major event before the release of Call of Duty: Cold War in November, so now is probably a good time to jump into the game. Players who want to play for cheap may even consider purchasing the Activision’s bundle with Blizzard that includes Modern Warfare and Overwatch.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
