Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 is now live, but before fans can get in on the action, they have to download a massive update. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 update file size is huge, but it's been discovered that it doesn't even contain all of the new content that was promised to fans on Day One.

Prior to releasing Modern Warfare Season 2, Activision and Infinity Ward released a road map detailing what would be available on February 11, and what would be added to the game later in the season. However, it's been confirmed that not all of the promised Day One content actually made it to the game with the huge February 11 update, so fans will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on everything.

The missing Day One content includes some pretty substantial things, including the Bazaar Gunfight map and the return of the Gunfight Tournaments mode. No explanation has been given as to why this content is missing from Modern Warfare Season 2's Day One lineup, but one has to imagine that there were some unforeseen issues that needed to be ironed out before they could be added to the game.

Modern Warfare Gunfight players seem to be getting the short end of the stick, but it's not all bad news. After downloading the sizable Modern Warfare Season 2 update, Gunfight will have fan favorite Modern Warfare 2 map Rust in its rotation, which should give fans of the game mode a little bit more variety. There's also a special 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only playlist that will be in the game for a limited time.

Besides Gunfight Tournaments and Bazaar, it seems the other promised Day One content is in Modern Warfare after the Season 2 update. This includes Zhokov Boneyard for Ground War, Atlas Superstore for standard multiplayer, the CDL playlist, Ghost as a playable operator, and new weapons. There's no word on when the missing content will be added to the game, but hopefully fans don't have to wait too much longer.

Expect frequent updates from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward as Season 2 continues.
