Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 is set to start on February 11, and it's likely that Activision will release the official trailer later today. But in the meantime, the Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer has leaked online, giving fans an early sneak peek at what they can expect from the next season of content.

The Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer confirms previous leaks, revealing that the fan favorite Modern Warfare 2 map Rust is officially making its way to the game. The trailer also reveals some new maps that weren't previously leaked, though, including an original 6v6 map called Atlas Superstore, a new Ground War map called Zhokov Boneyard that looks like it includes MW2's Scrapyard, and a new Gunfight map called Bazaar.

The Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer mainly shows off the new multiplayer maps that fans have to look forward to, but it also highlights some of the other new content that's on the way as well. This includes Simon "Ghost" Riley as a playable operator, as well as a couple of new weapons. As previously leaked, Modern Warfare Season 2 will include the Grau 5.56 and Striker 45 for players to add to their arsenal.

What the Modern Warfare Season 2 leaked trailer doesn't reveal is when exactly fans can expect all of this content. It's implied in the trailer that all of this will be available beginning February 11, but Modern Warfare Season 1 released its new content in waves. It's certainly possible that fans will be able to jump into all of this new content right away on February 11, but it's just as likely that some of this will be saved for later weeks.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans that want to know more details about when this new content will be available will need to wait for an official announcement from Activision. Luckily, with Modern Warfare Season 2 starting on February 11, an official reveal is likely to come in just a matter of hours from the time of this writing.

If all of the content shown in the Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer is added on February 11, one has to imagine that new maps and other content will be on the way in the coming weeks. Activision itself has teased that more Modern Warfare surprises are in store, so it's possible Season 2 will have even more to offer fans than Season 1.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
