On Tuesday, December 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One will begin, and it will bring a bevy of new content to Infinity Ward's highly-popular first-person shooter. Among the offerings included in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One are new maps, new Spec Ops missions, and new weapons, and the developer has indicated that this will be the "biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history." Additionally, Season One will add some fan-favorite game modes to the new CoD entry, which many players will certainly be excited to hear.

The first of the Call of Duty game modes that will be added in Season One is Reinforce, a multiplayer mode that fans may remember from Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Infinite War. In Reinforce, teams are looking to achieve victory by capturing three flags scattered throughout the map, but there are some twists that separate this mode from standard Domination. Namely, when players are eliminated in Reinforce, they do not respawn until their teammates capture a flag, and a team can also win by eliminating all of their opponents.

Another multiplayer mode will be added during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One as well, and it is called Infected. Originally introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there have been a number of tweaks to this game mode over the years, but the core of Infected has remained mostly in tact. In Infected, a match begins with one player being randomly selected as "infected," and this player looks to eliminate the "survivors" who are attempting to evade their grasp.

Finally, CoD: MW Season One will bring a Gunfight mode to the game in On Site Procurement (OSP). Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Gunfight OSP is a variation on Rules of Engagement, and it was temporarily available during the 2v2 alpha that took place back in August. In OSP, players are still attempting to eliminate opponents or reach a designated flag, but instead of starting with a loadout, they must locate their weapons across the game map.

To note, while Season One is set to begin on December 3, it is possible that the aforementioned modes will receive a staggered release throughout the season, rather than all being available immediately. Additionally, Infinity Ward indicates that there will be even more game modes added throughout Season One, and fans should expect further details on all things related to this first season next week.
