Season 4 Reloaded is bringing a whole bunch of new content to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. On top of some huge features, like the 200 Player battle royale mode for Warzone, there is also a new new sniper rifle being added to the game, perfect for hitting those One Shot, One Kills from across the map.

The sniper is called the Rytec AMR, and will be available in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare on June 29 at 11PM PT. There will be two ways to unlock the gun. One is through an in-game challenge that is yet to be announced. The other is to get a blueprint variant through the "Lost Souls" bundle in the store.

The AMR is a .50 caliber sniper rifle that's described as an anti-material rifle, which means that it will be useful for fighting vehicles or shooting down helicopters. It probably be pretty good against other players as well, as a sniper rifle in the right hands is one of the deadliest weapons in Call of Duty.

Call of Duty AMR Gun

Right now, the general consensus is that the HDR is the best all around sniper rifle in Call of Duty. With the right loadout, the HDR is an absolute killing machine, allowing players to rack up kills from both across the map and up close.

But will the AMR dethrone the HDR? It's too soon to say. The meta in Call of Duty is constantly shifting, as Activision buffs and nerfs weapons as it sees fit. Players are also constantly experimenting with new guns, loadouts, and equipment, finding new ways of using weapons that had previously been written off.

Either way, the AMR is certain to be a welcome inclusion to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. A new gun is always an exciting addition to the game, giving players a new toy to customize to their hearts' content. The constant updates to Call of Duty keep the game feeling fresh, and is one of the reasons the game is so repayable. That being said, players are certainly hoping that this update doesn't bring any new glitches to the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
