Not too long ago, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was released as a standalone version for PlayStation 4 after fans groused long enough that they didn't want to have to obtain the title by buying it bundled with any of the special editions for Infinite Warfare. Now, the video game retailer GameStop has officially announced when Xbox One fans should expect the updated first-person shooter to hit the system, with the Microsoft console set to receive the title on July 27, 2017.

Similar to the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on PlayStation 4, the base game of Xbox One iteration comes with the title's entire single-player campaign, as well as enhanced versions of the original sixteen multiplayer maps for $40. However, it won't include the recently released classic maps DLC pack for multiplayer, so fans who wish to receive the contents of the Variety Map Pack – including the likes of Killhouse, Broadcast, Creek, and Chinatown – they will have to pony up an additional $15.

As of writing, GameStop hasn't listed an official release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for PC. That said, though, it's quite possible that the first-person shooter will drop for the platform on the same day as its Xbox One version, if not at a date that's relatively close to July 27.

Following the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for Xbox One and PC, the game could be subject to an additional expansion pack sometime down the line. As it so happens, French retailer potentially leaked the content of an upcoming map pack, which may or may not be called "Regroup" and include updated versions of Modern Warfare 2's Terminal, Estate, and Highrise, and Modern Warfare 3's Dome.

All things considered, Xbox One fans will likely be pleased to finally receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone, even though they had to wait a month to receive it. Hopefully, PC fans won't have to wait much longer for their version of the title either.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available now on PlayStation 4, with an Xbox One release date set for July 27, 2017. A PC launch time has yet to be declared.
