Modern Warfare Remastered Map Pack Leaked by Retailer?

A French retailer potentially leaks the content of an upcoming map pack for Activision's first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

Without a doubt, the release of the standalone version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has certainly pleased fans of the first-person shooter franchise, and if the contents of a recent retail leak are true, then a forthcoming map pack could delight players of the updated title even more so with some much-desired locations. As it so happens, an online French retailer seems to have recently posted and taken down information regarding a potential map pack entitled "Regroup," which could include three areas from Modern Warfare 2 and one from Modern Warfare 3.

As seen below in the image from the eagle-eyed Redditor known as jefffffffff03, the French posting for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's Regroup map pack could point to the inclusion of MW2 fan-favorites such as Terminal, Estate, and Highrise, as well as MW3's Dome. The post respectively calls the separate maps Terminal, Palace, Skyscraper, and Boundary, and states that they will come to the game on August 1, 2017.

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered fans will surely be elated to learn that some of their favorite maps from the original games could be making their way into the updated title, it's important to remember that none of this information has been confirmed by Activision in any way whatsoever. After all, this post could very well be a fake created in order to dupe the community, especially since no official name of the French retailer is shown.

Of course, should the Regroup map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered come to pass with all of the aforementioned areas, there's still no telling if the game's players would be willing to purchase the content, particularly if the fan base considers the expansion materials to be too costly. In any event, we will simply have to wait and see if Modern Warfare Remastered will even receive these maps in the first place.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is currently available as a standalone title for PlayStation 4, with releases for PC and Xbox One coming later this year.
