Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had a smoother launch than many other online-centric titles do, but it's certainly not without its issues. For example, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have discovered a variety of issues with the game's weapons, like the weapon charm glitch that made shooting from the hip far less accurate. Now fans are discovering a new bug that seems to make certain weapons have significantly more recoil when crouching than standing.
As detailed in a video by YouTuber E-Roc, there are three guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that have bad recoil problems when players are crouching versus when they're standing. These guns are the Kilo 141 assault rifle, the M-13 assault rifle, and the MP-5 submachine gun. Crouching is supposed to make weapons more accurate, so this recoil bug can really throw players off their game. E-Roc recommends that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players simply avoid using these weapons until Infinity Ward fixes them, as they will potentially be at a disadvantage when compared to players using different weapons that don't have the recoil problem.
Luckily for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans, Infinity Ward has been relatively quick to respond to fan feedback. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch 1.06 that released a few days ago addressed a number of technical issues with the game, including the aforementioned weapon charm glitch and the game's notoriously loud footsteps.
Infinity Ward has yet to address the weapon recoil bugs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but fans can rest assured that a fix should be coming sooner rather than later. In the meantime, some fans may be more concerned with Infinity Ward tweaking the game's most notoriously overpowered weapon, the 725 shotgun.
Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have taken issue with the 725 shotgun, which is notable for having a long range and dealing insane damage with the right attachments equipped. There are clips making the rounds online of people using the 725 shotgun more like a sniper rifle, which is almost certainly not what Infinity Ward intended with the weapon. It's quite likely that the 725 shotgun will have its balance adjusted in a future update, likely in the form of a nerf that will make it less powerful.
In the meantime, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans can expect more substantial updates from Infinity Ward as well. This will include things like free DLC maps, new game modes, and much more. As long as Infinity Ward is quick to react to bugs like this and keeps a steady flow of content coming, it should be able to keep Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans hooked on the game for the long-term.
