Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's third season of content has already made a ton of fans very happy. Very recently, it has added Riley, the beloved German Shepherd from Call of Duty: Ghosts (provided players have bought the game's Battle Pass), and now fans suspect that a fan-favorite mode will be making a comeback, specifically Prop Hunt.
For those unaware, Prop Hunt was first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and had players disguise themselves as pieces of the map, like plant pots, bins, or trees, and had to avoid being hunted down by other players. It's a very popular mode and has been included in every game since, with the exception of Infinite Warfare.
So why do fans think it's coming to Modern Warfare? Well, that's because one fan named prophunt_K spotted an easily missed detail in an official image from Activision. The purpose of the image was to show off the character Ghost in battle, but prophunt_K and others noticed a plant pot in the top left corner of the picture, apparently floating in mid-air. Of course, it's possible that the plant is simply a decoration, so fans should keep that in mind.
Prop Hunt's inclusion would make sense given its popularity, and not all of Season 3's content has been confirmed so far, with plenty still yet to be revealed. Activision clearly aren't above bringing back content from previous games, with Season 3 having already brought back classic maps like Backlot and Modern Warfare 3's Hardhat.
However, it is important to note that there has been no official confirmation from Activision or Infinity Ward, so it's entirely possible that we're all jumping to conclusions and the floating plant pot doesn't actually mean anything.
In the meantime, free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone is also continuing to receive updates and only seems to be growing in popularity.
