Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, 2019's iteration of the ever-popular franchise, is available now via the PlayStation 4's exclusive beta. Players on other platforms will get a chance to try out Modern Warfare next weekend. However, by then, players will be too late to achieve some of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's prestigious firsts. Case in point, a professional esports player has managed to achieve the world's first Tactical Nuke Killstreak in a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare match.

The Tactical Nuke is Call of Duty's most impressive Killstreak and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has made it even more challenging to attain. Originating in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players could earn the Tactical Nuke by eliminating 25 enemies consecutively. Once used, the nuke then starts a 10-second countdown, after which the screen goes white and the user and their team wins the match instantly. In 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the Tactical Nuke Killstreak requires 30 consecutive eliminations.

As soon as the PS4-exclusive beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare started, a contest began to be the first to drop a Tactical Nuke. The winner of the contest was Karma, a member of the Optic esports team and a legend in the Call of Duty esports scene. Even more impressive, Karma earned the Tactical Nuke in his first match in the beta. The clip of his achievement shows that Karma is pretty excited about the accomplishment. Though he might want to check his microphone's volume levels.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare the Tactical Nuke is a little different than prior. It takes 30 eliminations in a single life instead of 25, as previously noted. It also has a shorter countdown. It's 8 seconds instead of 10 seconds. The important part is still the same, however. As shown in the clip, once the countdown ends, the map goes up in bright light and the match ends immediately. Karma gets an instant victory, though judging from the 160-17 score, his opponents were likely happy that the match ended early.
