Since its launch on October 25, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has earned largely positive reviews, but it's not without its detractors. There are many in the Call of Duty community have taken issue with various aspects of the game, especially in regards to its multiplayer. Well, those who are unimpressed by the current state of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer experience may have reason to be excited, as a frequent Call of Duty leaker has teased that a big update is coming to the game.

TheGamingRevolution, who has accurately leaked Call of Duty news in the past, claims that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting a "big overhaul." What all this big overhaul will include is unclear at the time of this writing, though TheGamingRevolution did say that it will at least see a change to the mini-map. For the uninitiated, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare mini-map doesn't show enemy positions when they fire in its current state, which is a change that hasn't been all that popular for fans of the franchise.

What else Infinity Ward may change in regards to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer experience is unclear, but one has to imagine that the change will be designed to appease some of the biggest complaints. Besides the mini-map issues, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare seems to have a problem with campers, even more than is typical for Call of Duty multiplayer around the launch of a new game.

One way that Infinity Ward could perhaps fix the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare camping issues is by reducing the effectiveness of claymores. One doesn't have to look too hard on forums to find plenty of posts complaining about how powerful claymores are in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and how campers can use them to easily cover their backs while they stick to a window or a certain corner in a building. Nerfing claymores in the game could go a long way in appeasing players who feel as though they're overpowered.

But before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans get too excited about the possibility of a "big" November update for the game, they should wait for an official announcement from Infinity Ward first. Like with any rumor or supposed leak, this news should be treated with a grain of salt until something comes from official sources.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
