There are tons of operator bundles being added with every update in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. With so many bundles being released so quickly it can become difficult to notice the minute details and subtle, or not so subtle, references buried in the items. Modern Warfare's developers have worked movie references into past titles, but never have so many amazing characters been fielded at one time.

The operator bundles provide cosmetic skins for several characters. Each one is usually themed to a specific reference or style, like the Tiger King bundle, but overall they each provide the same few items: a character skin, gun skin, calling card, and some other minor items.

The image posted to Reddit showcases some amazing in-game skins of famous characters. Although it is not confirmed that they are based on the movie heroes, there is an uncanny resemblance between them. On the top left is the operator Charly who has an amazingly close Ripley skin from the movie franchise Alien. Her face and hair is almost spot on and she looks combat-ready to take on some alien horror. To her right is a skin for Minotaur that comes in the Guerrilla bundle. It looks almost identical to the character John Matrix from the movie Commando.

On the bottom left is a more obscure reference. The armor, hat and glasses combination look almost identical to the MNU Soldiers from the movie District 9. The distinct white color mixed with a semi-futuristic style gives it a unique feel. The gun skin displayed in the bundle only goes to further the uncanny resemblance. This skin is meant for the operator Rodion. Other fans argue that the skin could also be a reference to the XCOM franchise or the Peacekeeper from District 12 in the Hunger Games.

On the bottom right is a Wyatt skin that fans are most excited about. The iconic glasses mixed with minimal armor and maximum firepower give the skin the distinct look of Steve Forsing from the movie Sicario. This is one of the few skins wielding an almost identical gun as the movie character. The mustache, vest, and glasses are what, for many fans, gave away the possible character connection.

Although these skins are not confirmed references it is not uncommon for Activision and Infinity Ward to hide secrets in their content. No matter the reference, these skins all look great and can give the feeling of playing as a fan-favorite character from other masterful movies.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
