After a massive patch fixed tons of bugs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, fans found yet another issue. Most Modern Warfare bugs are discovered on accident, which makes it even more frustrating when they occur.
One Modern Warfare fan was enjoying the use of their killstreak. Everything is fine until they return to their character, finding a strange problem with the player's perspective. The bug doesn't seem to have been reported before, but some fans have said it's been around for quite a while.
Reddit user Bubbins123 was driving their Wheelson through a normal match of Modern Warfare Multiplayer when they accidentally flip the vehicle. The Wheelson is a large killstreak, with wheels requiring a flat angle to avoid driving issues. Railroad tracks on the map caused the killstreak to flip the Wheelson, disabling it and sending the player back into their character. When they spawn back into their character, they find that the entire world has flipped. They are not walking forward, with their view turned completely sideways. A clip can be seen here.
The glitch seems to be directly associated with the loading segment between killstreaks. While some players are attributing it to a lag spike or laggy servers interrupting loading sequences, others say it occurs in matches with minimal lag.
Bubbins reports that he was lagging that day, but had no idea that something like this could occur. Some players report that the character model is still the same during the glitch, showing no evidence of the messed up point of view. Players simply must respawn for a fix, but it is still strange that something like this could happen mid-match.
Fans in the comments loved the possibilities found in a perspective like this. If the model did share a similar pose, then players could really freak out enemies by charging at them in weird contortions shapes. The only regret fans have is that the clip recorded did not show the kill cam, so there is no way to know for sure what the enemy saw when they rounded the corner.
Players that run the Wheelson or any other perspective-changing Modern Warfare killstreaks should be warned that this could occur. Simply respawn for a quick fix to the unexpected change in perspective.
