Earlier this season, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players were that promised two brand new Operators, in addition to the battle-pass exclusive Alex, would be coming later in the season. Fast forward to now, about halfway through the season, and fans are finally getting one of the promised Operators: Iskra.

Infinity Ward announced the news on Activision's weekly blog post, which also announced the addition of a new Twin Suns bundle and the re-implementation of the Ship the Rusty Ship 24/7 playlist.

According to the blog post, Iskra is an Urzikstan native, the fictional country featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign mode, and a member of Farah's army, one of the main protagonists from the campaign. Like all the other Operators added in the game's store, this one comes with more than just the skin. Players also get access to two weapon blueprints, a helicopter skin, a new finishing move, and more.

Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, Iskra's bundle will be added to the in-game store, meaning everyone, including people who own the battle pass, will have to shell out some money (more than likely 2,400 COD points) in order to get it. Currently, it doesn't seem like her bundle is available in the store quite yet, however, she does appear under the Operator tab, albeit locked out.

Iskra joins the other Operator that was mentioned earlier in the season, Ronin. He was made available in the in-game store just a few weeks back and came with similar items as Iskra.

New content, and more specifically new Operators, are always welcome. This, plus the addition of the MW3 map Hardhat is a good sign that the game is going to be getting some much needed fresh content very soon. The game hasn't really gotten a big piece of content in a while, so the community will take anything they can right now.

That being said, the fact that this Operator is a part of a premium bundle is a bit of a bummer. While that decision should come as no surprise to anyone who's been keeping up with the game over the past few months, it would've been nice to get some new content for free.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
