Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One starts tomorrow, December 3, and to promote this imminent update, Activision and Infinity Ward flew out a few well-known Call of Duty YouTubers and allowed them to capture gameplay footage of some of the upcoming content. Yesterday, fans were treated to footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's new Ground War map, and today they are getting a peek at Gunfight's two new maps: Cargo and Atrium.

The first new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunfight map, Cargo, features three different levels, all of which can be used to some advantage. The map's catwalks, for instance, offer players little to no cover, but they provide the high ground. The crates, on the other hand, leave players out in the open, but they allow for more visibility than any other areas of the map. Finally, there is the ground level, which offers the most cover but the least amount of visibility.

The second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map, Atrium, provides a much more open battlefield, featuring a courtyard with fountain mounds and a tree in the center. Surrounding these details are pillars, and there is a square corridor that encloses everything. Players can thus rush out into the open and do battle in Atrium's courtyard, or they can instead choose to use the corridors to gun down their opponents before they have the chance to see or react to them.

On a further Gunfight-related note, a forthcoming update will give fans the option to change how many players Modern Warfare's Gunfight mode facilitates. Specifically, there will be a 3v3 mode, and there's even talk of the addition of a 1v1. How the new maps featured here will handle variable player counts remains to be seen, but considering their small size, too many players could pose a problem. The most comfortable number for both the current and upcoming maps looks to lie around a 4v4, so things should be fine so long as that's not exceeded.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
