Following the reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, much information has come out regarding its story elements and other facets, though little has been shown about the game's multiplayer component following Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's official reveal. However, some screenshots of the game's multiplayer mode have now been released by Infinity Ward providing a brief look at the new engine being used in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Many are aware that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will support cross-play between PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Although as stated previously, there hasn't been much to go on regarding the much-anticipated game's multiplayer mode for which the series is known. In any case, players now have access to a couple of multiplayer screenshots as per Charlie Intel's Call of Duty News Twitter account.

Apparently, the images are in-game and accurately illustrate the game's graphical capability given the new engine Infinity Ward is using. This is the same engine that also allows Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to scan in real world environments for its game areas. The images can be seen below.

The first image appears to have been taken in a relatively forested area. It illustrates a soldier in a ghillie suit with a sniper rifle equipped with a silencer, draped with some cloth.

The second image shows someone in what seems to be the Juggernaut suit that first appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The armored combatant is wielding a Minigun as well, aiming out a wall that looks as if it has just been blown apart by an explosion.

If the images are in-game as described, then these images are representative of a Call of Duty game operating on a new presentational level. Typically, the Call of Duty games have always been up to par in terms of graphics. However, these screenshots demonstrate that Infinity Ward is yearning to be ahead of the gaming industry curve again with an uncanny sense of realism and attention to detail that is yet to be rivaled by any other game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be releasing October 25, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
