It appears as though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may be getting creator codes similar to what's seen in Fortnite. This is according to a recent datamine of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's latest update, which references a "support a creator" program for the game.

This was pointed out by TheGamingRevolution, a frequent Call of Duty leaker who has accurately leaked news on the franchise in the past. According to the datamine, the exact text for the "support a creator" program in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is, "Support your favorite Call of Duty creator with your in-game purchases. Creators will receive a portion of each purchase made using their code. This code will expire after 14 days . Enter the creator code below."

By "creator," the text is likely referring to Call of Duty YouTubers and streamers. Fans will be able to watch the streams and videos of their favorite content creators, where they can learn their code and use that to support them when buying in-game items.

So for example, if Mixer streamer Shroud had a creator code in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, his fans could use it to give him money when they buy new in-game content, like the recently released Talon Operator bundle.

It would make sense for Infinity Ward to implement something like this, as it has proven to be quite popular in other games, but fans should note that nothing official has been announced to date.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
