Call of Duty: Modern Warfare just recently received one of its biggest post-launch updates yet, which added two brand new maps to the game in the form of Shoot House for standard multiplayer and Krovnik Farmland for the large-scale Ground War mode. Shoot House has proven to be quite popular, even getting its own 24/7 playlist, though fans have also taken notice of Krovnik Farmland, spotting an interesting detail about the map that may have implications for the game's future.

Reddit user musclesharkk pointed out that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can see the Tavorsk District map from Krovnik Farmland. Tavorsk District is one of the two Ground War maps that the game launched with, and some may find it interesting that the maps are apparently right next to each other in the game's universe. However, other users on Reddit have presented a theory that this isn't just a fun easter egg for fans.

Some believe that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can see Tavorsk Distrct from Krovnik Farmland because the maps will both be a part of the rumored battle royale mode. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode leaked some time ago from multiple sources, with many thinking as though it coming to the game is just a matter of "when." It's possible that Infinity Ward will be re-using some of the map assets its made for other game modes in the battle royale mode, so the Ground War maps Tavorsk District and Krovnik Farmland being included wouldn't be that big of a stretch.

Then again, Infinity Ward may opt to create completely original locations for the likely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale map. Or maybe it will take inspiration from other Call of Duty games. It's also possible that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will never have a proper battle royale mode, so fans should keep that in mind before they get too excited.

In the meantime, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players may want to look at some of the other maps in the game a little more closely to see if they can find any other potential clues about the rumored battle royale mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
