As players have found out, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is in an interesting spot at the moment. On one hand, the game is once again proving to be a major success for Activision and with a constant stream of free content, that likely won't change anytime soon. However, the current game is rife with issues from weird bugs, spawn problems, map exploits, to a particularly nasty issue that is preventing many players from earning progression on camos, challenges, and even the Battle Pass.

While there are a few maps with big spawn or exploit issues, one player found that not everyone is cheating, just very lucky. BrightWing9 over on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subReddit posted a new video that shows off incredible luck. Originally thought to be an exploit or someone using a map hack to kill through walls, the double death was actually shown to be legit thanks to the kill cam.

After calling in a killstreak, the player attempts to retreat to safety only to be killed in what appears to be an instance of not being able to get into cover due to a teammate pushing their character model into the open. After respawning, the player is then killed immediately again, with no time to react. Naturally, the first instinct would be to call shenanigans and accuse the enemy team of cheating, which would be fair considering how many instances of bugs and exploits there currently are in the game.

However, the killcam reveals the truth of the situation. Using a riot shield and throwing knives, the enemy player actually headshots the player using a throwing knife, waits a moment and then throws another one. The knife ricochets off the burned out car husk and deflects off to the right side of the map right into the same player who literally just respawned half a second earlier. Needless to say, its a one in a million throw.

WHile the game has more than a few issues to fix, including the weird invisible name UI problem, other players have discovered even more wacky ways that the game can kill players. On the St. Petrograd map is an inconspicuous office chair behind a reception desk. Attempting to melee the chairs or standing next to them when they spin will actually cause the player to die. Players with an active killstreak will no doubt want to use caution when inside the building near the chairs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
