Activision will soon add a new weapon and two new operators, including Gaz, to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Season 1 for the new Call of Duty games began on November 16 alongside the launch of Warzone 2. It came with a selection of improvements including new weapons and a remake of a popular map in Modern Warfare 2.

Season 1 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 begins on December 14 at 10 AM PT. In the lead-up to its release, Activision has shared all the additions and improvements coming to the games in a detailed post. As an example, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will finally add the highly-requested combat records feature in Season 1 Reloaded. It’s also confirmed to have two additional operators as well as a new weapon.

Activision announces that Kyle “Gaz” Garrick and Klaus Fisker will join the Call of Duty operators roster in Season 1 Reloaded. Gaz needs no introduction, as he plays a big role in the campaigns of both Modern Warfare campaigns. Users can unlock Gaz and his skin by completing the Atomgrad Special Ops Raid in MW2 or by purchasing a special bundle available in the store. Fans should note that they need a Raid Assignment, which can be earned via gameplay, to participate in the event.

The Call of Duty post gives some background on Klaus Fisker’s achievements, confirming that he is a member of Denmark’s Elite Special Forces. Users interested in playing as him can purchase the Klaus Operator Bundle from the store. Finally, Activision confirms that a new weapon called Chimera will be added to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 in Season 1 Reloaded. Chimera is an assault rifle with a big focus on stealthy engaging the enemy, and players can unlock it through a weapon challenge or via a store bundle.

Season 1 Reloaded adds a ton of content to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2. As a way to celebrate this update, Activision is offering Call of Duty users double XP during its launch weekend. Players will get both double XP and double weapon XP from December 15 at 10 AM PT to December 19 at 10 AM PT. PlayStation fans also get an additional incentive as these bonuses start on December 14 at 10 AM PT for gamers on PS4 and PS5.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 are now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
