During a regular multiplayer match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a couple of players discover a wall where their character can wallrun across it. While wallrunning has been featured inside of the Call of Duty franchise in the past, specifically with the exo suits of Advanced Warfare and futuristic tech of Black Ops 3, it's not something that actually made it into the recently released Modern Warfare 2.

In fact, Infinity Ward's latest did change up the movement system which fans have come to know over the past few games in the long-running series. During the Call of Duty Next presentation, Infinity Ward revealed new mechanics like the ledge grab and the infamous return of the "dolphin dive" mechanic where players running at full speed can hold the crouch button to go into a full-on dive to the ground. Now, fans have seemingly discovered another movement technique that is pretty clear wasn't meant to be included in the full release.

TikTok user shmooookk posted a new video showcasing a strange spot on the Taraq Village map in Modern Warfare 2 where players can actually wall run if they approach it at the correct angle. As confusing as it was to discover by accident, shmooookk and their teammate continued to test the mechanic showing off ways to chain wall running into a slide or the previously mentioned dolphin dive. Again, it's a very limited move and likely won't be causing anyone to dominate a match.

It's worth noting that at the moment, this movement technique has only been found to work on this particular wall inside of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. While there's not a lot of uses for it and combat encounters in this spot of the map are going to be pretty specific, if used correctly, it could be used to get a surprising drop on an unsuspecting enemy player giving them zero chance to react. However, using the technique could also be used to come flying over the map when dolphin diving off of the wall, resulting in a character spinning off of it like a helicopter.

While seemingly innocent enough, it's likely something that Infinity Ward will clean up in a future patch. For now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 still has priority issues that the studio is likely targeting first, including ones related to game crashing as well as some exploits found within the community. One nasty issue, which should be cleaned up this weekend according to Infinity Ward, is relating to a game crash when Modern Warfare 2 players attempt to join in a party.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
