Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded brought a nerf to a fan-favorite assault rifle most players have used since its release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded added new content to the game, and players will be able to enjoy new weapons, operators, a new map called Alboran Hatchery, and a few balance changes that will mix up the game's meta.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded launched on May 10, and since then, many players have been grinding to unlock all the new content the new season update brings. This mid-season update brings new weapons to the table, expanding the current weapon roster in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, something many players wanted as the current meta is stale. Besides the new weapons, and the new six-versus-six map, players will unlock a new operator from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Alex makes a return, and gamers will be able to unlock him if they complete Atomgrad's Raid Episode 3.

On May 10, the official Call of Duty website released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded's update patch notes, sharing all the balance changes and additions implemented in the new update. According to the update patch notes, the ISO Hemlock, one of the latest assault rifles added to the game, received a few nerfs in the damage output department. The ISO Hemlock will now deal less damage at minimum, mid, and maximum ranges. Besides the lowered damage numbers, players will do less damage to the lower torso and extremities too. After this update, assault rifles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's M4 and the M13B may start to look like better options for some players.

This update will force competitive players to look for new options as the ISO Hemlock was considered by many as one of the best assault rifles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Since the developer added the ISO Hemlock, many players adopted the new assault rifle as their favorite option because of its easy-to-control recoil, competitive damage output, and rate of fire, making it a must-have for mid to long ranges in more extensive game modes and even in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

Luckily for players, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded update implemented some buffs to an overlooked assault rifle, mixing up the game's meta and giving players some variety in their next loadouts. The Lachmann-556 received improvements to its damage output on all ranges, and it also got an increase in its upper torso damage multiplier, rewarding players who go for accuracy in their gunfights. The Lachmann-556 is not what most players think regarding competitive options, but after installing this update, they may start seeing this assault rifle more in their play sessions.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
