The upcoming Infinity Ward shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been available for beta testing for a few days, and already players are racking up amazing kills and killstreaks. Recently, one player posted an impressive frag clip from the Modern Warfare 2 beta, leaving many surprised. There was not even the tiniest of warnings before the catastrophe hit this player in what seemed like a fairly uneventful camping spot looking down on a residential neighborhood.

The reboot for one of the most successful Call of Duty games ever, 2009's Modern Warfare 2, is now in available for players in beta. The first phase of the beta for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 started on Friday with PlayStation Early Access and yesterday the game came available to all PlayStation players. The second phase later this week will include Xbox, Battle.net, and Steam Early Access, and from Saturday through Monday, the game is available for all players of all supported platforms.

The PlayStation player in question was exploring a residential building, seeking unsuspecting victims on the streets of Mercado Las Almas, one of the three new maps available in Modern Warfare 2 beta. The player barely managed to break the window and take a glance at any possible enemies on foot as an explosion occurred in the vicinity, resulting in instant death. In this case, the frag grenade was thrown by an enemy from across the map, while sprinting, and neither the target nor the killer could've known what was about to take place.

Thankfully, while there's still work to do with Modern Warfare 2's UI, the game offers a great replay feature. It not only shows the player's actions but even follows the grenade's path. As evidenced by the kill cam, the opposing player chucked the grenade towards the sky, hoping for the best. The grenade took a perfect trajectory over the building, bouncing off the corner of the roof, and being delivered right in front of a recently destroyed window, missing a satellite antenna by inches. The throw was so precise and exploded so quickly after coming in the death radius of the player that there wasn't even a slight indication of danger.

This isn't the first great Call of Duty kill clip by any means as the franchise offers fast-paced action that is perfect for creating memorable moments like this. Unfortunately, unlike in a Call of Duty: Vanguard grenade kill clip, in this case, there was no chance of throwing the grenade back.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
