A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player got an incredible longshot using a Desert Eagle during a match of Ground War. The Ground War game mode returns in Modern Warfare 2, allowing players to participate in large-scale battles to capture points on the map. Modern Warfare 2 also comes with another mode called Invasion for 40v40 matches, with 20 AI opponents on each team.

Like the rest of the series, gamers can use a wide variety of guns and pieces of equipment in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players can choose from several types of assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, and more, with each gun being fully customizable with the help of Gunsmith 2.0. While some weapons are meant for close-quarters combat and others are more suited to kill enemies from afar, one Modern Warfare 2 fan got an incredible longshot kill using the .50 GS pistol.

A Reddit user named IKingofredlions has shared a clip from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 of them killing an opponent 131.24 meters away using the .50 GS pistol. In the video, IKingofredlions sees an opponent on the roof of a building and decides to go prone before shooting at them with a pistol. The player misses the first few shots, but manages to land a hit before reloading the gun. The next couple of shots also hit the target, with the second one killing the opponent at an impressive distance of around 130 meters.

The .50 GS is also known as the Desert Eagle and is one of the best sidearms players can use in Modern Warfare 2. Other good options include the Basilisk and the X13 Auto pistols, with the RPG-7 also being useful depending on the situation.

Despite the impressive longshot showcased in the video, many comments on the post discuss the feasibility of such a feat in real life. One fan mentions that users have other options, such as Hell Let Loose, that focus on realistic gameplay, with another claiming that they don’t play video games for the realism aspect.

Some players also talk about the current state of longshot challenges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, stating that users only need to be 20 meters away for the kill to count when using pistols. One user blames longshot challenges for their teammates having a poor kill-death ratio in Modern Warfare 2, with another mentioning that users can complete them on any standard 6v6 map instead of playing Ground War.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
