This information comes via a reply to a fan’s question, confirming that Gun Game will drop on February 15 as a part of the Season 2 update. In this game mode, all players start with a basic pistol and each kill replaces their weapon with a different one, as fans are tasked with going through the full cycle of weapons.
This isn’t the only party game mode coming to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2, as Call of Duty had announced that Infected will also return in the new update on February 15. Both Infected and Gun Game have been featured in several Call of Duty games in the past, and they will add some variety to the game modes on offer. An earlier leak suggested that Gunfight is also making a return, but fans will have to wait for a final confirmation.
Modern Warfare 2 has been criticized for its lack of content, but Season 2 is shaping up to be a massive update for the game.
