A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fan encountered a flying AI enemy while playing a match of Invasion. Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer officially launched on October 28 alongside the co-op mode Special Ops. The campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was available a week earlier to users who pre-ordered the game, and they could even unlock various bonuses by completing missions.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer features a mix of standard set of game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and new ones such as Prison Rescue, Knock Out, and Invasion. While Prison Rescue and Knock Out are designed around 6v6 gameplay, Invasion brings large-scale war to Call of Duty as two teams of 20 gamers face off against each other. Each team also has 20 AI companions, but one fan recently came across a glitched AI opponent.

A Reddit user named SeymourButtocks has shared a funny clip of an enemy AI flying away during a match of Invasion in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. SeymourButtocks sees the AI opponent shooting at them before flying away from the encounter and landing at a nearby spot on the map. In the post’s title, the user jokingly claims that bots in Modern Warfare 2 have started to abuse the movement system in the game.

The rest of the comments are similarly filled with jokes with several references to The Matrix franchise. However, one player offers a possible explanation of what happened in the clip. They state that there is a glitch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 related to bipod attachments, and it looks like it hasn’t been patched yet. This bug involves going prone and as seen in the video, the enemy AI does go prone immediately before flying away.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have reported some problems since the game’s launch last month. This includes bugs like an issue with Riot Shields that makes gamers invincible and other instances of players flying away in Modern Warfare 2. Fans also experienced crashes when the game came out and Activision had to disable the new weapon tuning feature as it investigated the problem.

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is 2 weeks old, players have already encountered various cheaters in the game. Some gamers mention that cheaters have been present since day one, and a few of them even came across hackers during the Modern Warfare 2 beta.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
