One of the top mobile games of last year was Call of Duty Mobile, which earned strong reviews and continues to be quite popular. Even so, there is likely many Call of Duty fans who haven't tried Call of Duty Mobile, writing it off as a mobile cash-grab as opposed to something that's genuinely worth playing. Activision is now attempting to lure some of the more hardcore Call of Duty fans to Call of Duty Mobile by offering a free in-game watch to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone players that link their accounts to the game.

To get the Call of Duty Mobile watch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, players simply need to link their Activision account to the game. As long as its the same Activision account that players use for Modern Warfare and Warzone, they should receive the free watch within 72 hours of linking the account. As an added bonus, players that link their Activision account to Call of Duty Mobile will also get free content in that game as well in the form of the Outrider - Arctic Soldier, which will also be delivered within 72 hours.

While players download Call of Duty Mobile to get their free watch in Modern Warfare and Warzone, they may want to consider actually seeing what Mobile brings to the table. Call of Duty Mobile is in season 6 right now, with the big new content addition being the fan-favorite Modern Warfare 2 map RustCall of Duty Mobile is basically a "greatest hits" of Call of Duty multiplayer maps, so longtime fans of the franchise may want to check it out for nostalgia reasons if nothing else.

In the meantime, those wondering what the purpose of the watches are in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare should know that they're really just for cosmetic purposes. However, there are Tomogunchi watches that players can get in Modern Warfare that actually add a gameplay feature to the mix. The Tomogunchi watches let players take care of a virtual pet, similar to "Tamagotchis," which they feed by getting kills in multiplayer.

New cosmetic content is added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone on a near-weekly basis, so fans can expect even more new watches and other cosmetic items to be added in the near future.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
