Call of Duty: Mobile has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world since its launch in 2019. The free-to-play game offers all the Call of Duty content fans expect, including standard multiplayer, co-op zombies, and a massive battle royale mode. And unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Mobile is also robustly supported with post-launch seasonal content. The latest Call of Duty: Mobile update, Season 6, arrives soon. And with it, battle royale players will be able to take to the sky with an all-new feature.

The official subtitle for Season 6 of Call of Duty: Mobile is To the Skies, and as the name implies, players will soon be able to fly in the game's battle royale mode. The biggest feature addition of Season 6 will be the release of fighter planes, allowing Call of Duty: Mobile players to battle each other in intense dogfights. The Jackal planes found in the battle royale are equipped with both battling guns and missiles, allowing for an exciting mix of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.

But Activision isn't going to create an imbalanced new system where planes dominate the map, however. In addition to the Jackal, Call of Duty: Mobile will also be receiving several anti-air weapons spread across the map. The artillery can be used by Call of Duty: Mobile players hoping to clear the skies of any pesky planes that may be pestering those on the ground.

Further, to celebrate the addition of such a major new feature in Call of Duty: Mobile's battle royale, Activision will also be launching a special themed event. Jackal: Fueled Up will revolve around players contributing Jackal fuel and upgrades to Alias. This can be done by completing daily tasks or simply playing Call of Duty: Mobile's multiplayer game modes and battle royale.

There's much more content coming in Season 6 than just aerial combat, of course. In fact, there's another major addition to Call of Duty: Mobile in the form of a new map. Favela, a popular map from Call of Duty: Ghosts is going to be included for multiplayer game modes. There will also be 50 new battle pass tiers featuring new weapons like the KSP 45 and Operators, including Sophia.

Season 6: To the Skies officially starts in Call of Duty: Mobile on June 29 at 5:00 PM PT. Expect the new jets in the battle royale, the Favela map for multiplayer, as well as dozens of fixes and balance changes as part of the update, plus more.

Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on iOS and Android devices.
