Call of Duty Mobile continues to grow, with the eleventh season of content for the on-the-go FPS shaping up to be a big one. Recently a CoD Mobile dev added to the hype, teasing some brand-new weapons for the game.

While the team recently got fans excited for the next season of Call of Duty Mobile content by teasing the Advanced UAV scorestreak from other CoD games, the team at TiMi Studios has now piqued fans' interest by mentioning the new weaponry coming to the game. While posting a community update on Reddit, the dev account for Call of Duty Mobile teased the addition with a direct reply to a fan question.

Redditor AlaaMessi replied by thanking the team for its hard work before asking, “Can we get a hint about the next gun? At least what category?” Sure enough, a developer responded. With a winkie face emoji attached, the developers replied, “multiple categories, you’ll see what we mean.” The response is an interesting tease for fans of the game, and players may want to grab the Hunt for Makarov rewards before they are gone, since this newest season is right around the corner.

Some fans quickly theorized that the developer could be teasing a hybrid weapon like the ones seen in Infinite Warfare. These weapons saw a simple button press is changing the form of the weapon, like transforming a sniper into a shotgun, and were certainly a unique concept. The more likely meaning behind “multiple categories” is the obvious one, though, as a few weapons are likely to be added. Multiple weapon additions to the game should freshen up modes like Gunfight, and it will be interesting to see what weapons TiMi Studios chooses to add.

With Season 11 of the game possibly adding a night version of CoD Mobile’s battle royale map as well, the next content update for Call of Duty Mobile will clearly be massive. Filling Season 11 with content makes sense, considering that the season will include the anniversary of Call of Duty Mobile, with the team giving players a bit extra to do so they can properly celebrate the occasion. With season 11 kicking off on October 15th, fans will not be waiting much longer to find out exactly what the season will contain.

With this tease of new weapons combined with the recent CoD Mobile Season 11 leak, the game’s big anniversary update is likely to go over well with fans. Call of Duty Mobile’s support has been incredibly impressive thus far, with consistent content drops like these weapon additions likely to come for some time.

Call of Duty Mobile is available now on Android and iOS mobile devices.
