Today, the Call of Duty Mobile Twitter account posted the first teaser for season 10. Within the brief teaser, none other than Modern Warfare 2’s iconic map Terminal is announced to be coming to the game following the current season of CoD Mobile content.

The teaser reads “Attention passengers, Flight #83764625 is now boarding” before showing off a rain-covered image of the map. Whether the map will genuinely feature rain in Call of Duty Mobile, or if this is simply a stylistic way to obscure the image, is unclear. This could possibly be hinting that weather-based maps are the theme of season 10, but regardless, the map’s layout is a picture-perfect recreation of the original Terminal design.

Terminal was originally featured in the iconic and controversial campaign mission No Russian as well as Modern Warfare 2’s online modes. Since then, it has seen numerous remasters in the Infinity Ward Call of Duty games, and now CoD Mobile is joining in on the remaster train. The map is a fan favorite due to its interesting map design and setting, so many fans will no doubt be happy to see it return.

The map has been in Call of Duty Mobile for a few months now, as it appeared in the game’s test server around season 8. It did not really fit with the World War 2 theme of season 9, which is likely why the map was held back until now. This also could be a hint that the tenth season of Call of Duty Mobile content will be more modern than the current season, though that cannot be confirmed until officially stated by the development team.

Terminal is joining a massive lineup of classic Call of Duty maps and modes, as the mobile game has built itself on being a collection of the best of the best from the entire CoD series. Highrise, another beloved Modern Warfare 2 map, joined the game back in season 8. Shipment from the first Modern Warfare is coming to CoD Mobile later in its current content season, so Terminal will mark the third season in a row where a map from the Modern Warfare games will join the CoD Mobile lineup.

It will be interesting to see what CoD Mobile becomes in season 10, as the game’s ninth season has an interesting strategy game built in on top of bringing back Attack of the Undead. The season 9 update made some much-needed adjustments to weapon progression. No matter where the team takes the next batch of content, though, they have a crowd-pleasing piece of content on the way with the upcoming release of Terminal.

Call of Duty Mobile is available now on iOS and Android mobile devices.
