Call of Duty: Warzone has seen its cheating problem addressed, though even with all the banned accounts, there are still players finding ways to hack the game. Streamer and Actor Alex Zedra found this out the hard way, as she quickly discovered a Call of Duty: Warzone streamer was cheating after raiding the player on Twitch.
For those unfamiliar with Alex Zedra, she plays the popular Operator Mara in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. Arriving in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and only getting more popular as time has gone on, it makes sense that Mara’s actor would grow in popularity as well. A huge Call of Duty fan herself, Zedra has found success streaming Call of Duty: Warzone and other games in the series. After her latest stream, she raider a fellow Call of Duty: Warzone streamer.
Unfortunately, the raid did not go as planned, as Zedra quickly found that the Call of Duty: Warzone streamer she spotlighted was not playing by the rules. Posting a clip on Twitter after the stream, Zedra shows that IcyVixen and co-streamer BeardedBanger are using hacks. The clip sees IcyVixen aiming at the ground before moving over a hill, locking directly onto her opponent. A few rifle shots put down the player instantly, showing off some suspiciously impressive aiming skills as well as an absurd amount of luck.
With Call of Duty players caught hacking in the past, players can likely get an idea of what IcyVixen is doing. While viewers are only seeing the screen that appears to be showing legitimate gameplay, there is likely a second screen on IcyVixen’s end that is displaying wall hacks and aimbotting systems clearly. Likely highlighting the enemy that the streamer seemed to magically predict in the footage, it seems far likelier than not that IcyVixen is indeed cheating.
While this clip from Call of Duty’s Mara actor was clear enough, Zedra’s viewers replied to her tweet with even more evidence of IcyVixen using cheats. One particularly damning video from @dainton23 shows the player parachuting into Verdansk, though her camera mysteriously moves toward one of her opponents as she plummets into the map. A telltale sign of cheating, experienced aimbot users usually try to hide this extreme aim assist as much as they can. Unfortunately for IcyVixen, she showed this lock-on clearly, serving as a dead giveaway to fans.
While it is unfortunate that Zedra wasted a raid on one of Call of Duty: Warzone’s cheaters, it may have been a good thing after all. IcyVixen is now banned from Twitch, meaning that gamers will have to deal with one less cheater in their lobbies going forward.
