As promised, Infinity Ward has released a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Warzone battle royale. The latest update for the games isn't all that significant in the grand scheme of things, but it does change up the available playlists.

On the Modern Warfare side of things, the big news is that Gunfight Tournaments is back. Gunfight Tournaments challenges players to win four Gunfight matches in a row in exchange for a special prize. It adds some serious stakes to Gunfight and has proven popular in the past, so many fans are excited to see it make its return.

Gunfight Tournaments in Modern Warfare is joined by the returning Dirty Old Houseboat playlist. Dirty Old Houseboat combines Shipment, Shoot House, and Rust, three of the smallest standard multiplayer maps in the game, with a variety of different game modes. This does mean that the individual Shipment and Shoot House 24/7 playlists will likely be getting the boot in the meantime.

The Call of Duty July 7 update has also added Realism Gun Game and Bomb Objective Mosh Pit, which cycles between Search and Destroy, Cyber Attack, and Demolition.

Not much has changed when it comes to Call of Duty: Warzone, however. The Plunder: Blood Money playlist is still available, as are most of the standard BR modes. This includes BR Solos, Duos, and Trios, as well as 200-player Quads. Juggernaut Royale, meanwhile, has been removed. Infinity Ward has given no indication as to when Juggernaut Royale or standard Quads may return to Warzone, so fans will just need to stay tuned for more information on that front.

Besides new playlists, the Call of Duty July 7 update has also updated the in-game store, giving fans of both Modern Warfare and Warzone the chance to add more cosmetic items to their collection. This includes the Blood in the Water bundle, headlined by a shark-themed shotgun blueprint called Feeding Frenzy that is poised to become a fan favorite.

Looking ahead, there are some more substantial updates for Modern Warfare and Warzone on the horizon. Warzone Season 5 is expected to start in early August, and many believe that it will bring some significant map changes along with it. Call of Duty fans will find out more about the game's future in the coming weeks.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
