For years, Activision kept the Call of Duty franchise exclusive to Battle.net on PC, but it has since released the popular FPS series on Steam, with three more CoD games now joining the lineup. While most Call of Duty gamers on PC may be busy playing the latest entries, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, others will appreciate the opportunity to check out some other recent CoD games on their digital distribution platform of choice.Activision first brought Call of Duty back to Steam with Modern Warfare 2 last year. This paid off big time, as Modern Warfare 2 was a huge success on Steam and remains one of the platform's most popular games. Considering how successful Modern Warfare 2 has been on Steam, it's no surprise that Activision has decided to bring three more of its recent Call of Duty games to Valve's marketplace.RELATED: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Player Gets Impressive Triple Kill With a Single BulletStarting now, Call of Duty fans can buy the 2019 Modern Warfare game, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard on Steam. All three games are available at a steep 50% discount for a limited time, meaning Steam users have the chance to pick them up for $29.99 each instead of their usual asking price of $59.99. It's somewhat rare for Call of Duty games to get discounts this deep, so CoD fans on Steam will definitely want to consider taking advantage of this deal while they still can. The offer ends on March 23, so fans have about two weeks to jump on the opportunity.

As far as the quality of the games go, mileage may vary. The 2019 Modern Warfare game is generally considered to be one of the better recent Call of Duty games, with a wide range of multiplayer maps and impressive graphics, though Black Ops Cold War was criticized for major technical problems at the time of its release. Call of Duty: Vanguard is one of the lowest-rated Call of Duty games in history, so fans should keep that in mind.

The 2019 Modern Warfare reboot may very well be the crown jewel of the recent Steam additions, especially since it's directly tied to Modern Warfare 2022. Characters and storylines featured in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign originated in the 2019 game, so Steam users that haven't played it yet can now do so and get the full reboot story.
