There have been many iconic Call of Duty maps over the years, with locations like Nuketown brought back repeatedly due to their popularity. Another Call of Duty map that has gotten love on several occasions is Shipment, and now, one fan has brought the classic play space to Far Cry 5.

There have been many different versions of Shipment over the years, with the map’s original appearance being in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Given how influential the 2007 title was on the Call of Duty franchise and the FPS genre as a whole, it makes sense that its most memorable map has consistently reappeared. While it received a visual redesign in Call of Duty: WW2, it played largely the same, though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 and Call of Duty: Vanguard made some changes to its layout and the overall flow of the map.

However, while some players have been mastering Call of Duty: Vanguard’s take on Shipment and learning how to best use the upper-level crates that Sledgehammer added, one fan has been bringing the map to another game. Reddit user mojoswoptops2020 has perfectly captured Shipment using Far Cry 5’s map editor. Rather than going for one of the newer takes on the map, though, the nostalgic player brought back the original Shipment layout from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The map should be instantly recognizable to longtime Call of Duty fans, as the iconic blue and red shipping containers are stacked on top of each other and beside one another. Other pieces of cover, from dumpsters and barrels to ruined cars, are incorporated as well. Given the solid visuals of the Far Cry series, the rebuilt map is stunning, though fans should notice that one specific change has been made to Shipment. With the holiday season starting, mojoswoptops2020 has given Shipment a festive makeover.

Call of Duty maps have been given holiday-focused makeovers before, with Nuketown getting a Halloween and Christmas version in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. With Shipment not getting this type of visual redesign officially, though, the Far Cry 5 player was able to put their own spin on it. The mounds of snow look great, with smart touches like some hanging ice on the shipping containers that make the map look official. A few Christmas trees are also sprinkled around the map, adding to the quality of the design.

While there have been some incredible Far Cry 5 maps made over the years, this one should be particularly memorable for fans of the Call of Duty series. While it is unclear if it plays as hectic in Far Cry 5 multiplayer as it does in the franchise where it originated, gamers have made their love for the small map known.
