Those interested in purchasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have probably already done so, though they may still have many lingering questions regarding its launch and the Call of Duty Elite service. Dan Amrich – aka One of Swords – is a Social Media Manager for Activision, and he has compiled a list of answers for frequently asked questions gamers have during the MW3 launch window.

Many of you may already have a copy of Modern Warfare 3 in hand and think they know everything there is to know about the game. However, this latest installment of the franchise is expected to sell 6 million units at launch so there’s bound to be many who don’t have all their questions answered. We’ll touch on a few of the questions here. The full FAQ can be read at Amrich’s website.

One of the questions regards the launch of the Call of Duty Elite apps for Blackberry and Windows 7 devices. At the moment, only apps for iOS and Android are confirmed, and there are no official announcements of apps for Blackberry or Windows 7. It would make sense that Activision would focus on the two most popular mobile platforms, but there are plenty of people who don’t own these devices who play Call of Duty.

Amrich mentions that the dev team behind the apps was asked about other mobile apps at the Call of Duty XP event in September, and said that “it’s something they want to do, but they were not actively working on it at that time.” Perhaps it’s something fans will see at a later date.

Amrich also had some answers for those who are interested gaining ‘Founder’ status on Call of Duty Elite. Those who register and pay the annual 49.99 cost for the premium package before November 13th will gain the coveted Founder status. Also those who purchased the Hardened edition of Modern Warfare 3 will have a card with a code that can be activated anytime even after the November 13th deadline.

Those who attempt to register today, on MW3 launch day, may experience some service issues due to volume of users trying to connect. It might be a good idea to hold off on registering with CoD Elite until Activision gets all the bugs out.
